Paterson Rotary has adopted another Gift of Life Child!
On Sunday, July 26th President Jerry Traille and our translator, Ada picked up young Jose and his mother Mirian as they arrived from their home country of Honduras. Jose and his mom are being hosted by Karen Fischer and her family. The Fischers have hosted more children than anyone we know and they are truly an inspiration to the entire Club!
Jose's open-heart surgery will be performed at our own St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson! We wish to say THANK YOU to the doctors and staff of St. Joseph's for making this life-saving surgery possible!
WELCOME TO PATERSON ROTARY!
Paterson Rotary is over 100 years old and in that time, we have been a strong supporter of the community of Paterson. If you conduct business in the City of Paterson and surrounding areas, or live in the City of Paterson you may be a future Paterson Rotarian. We are a fun group of professionals that meet on Thursdays at 12:15 PM at The Brownstone. Please contact us for information about our club and what programs and community projects we sponsor and/or support.

ROTARIANS PACKAGE OVER 40,000 MEALS IN HONOR OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR
On Monday, January 20, 2014 Paterson Rotarians (from Paterson's three Rotary Clubs) joined over 200 volunteers from other North Jersey Rotary Clubs, businesses, schools groups, families, congregations, etc., to package 30,000 non-perishable meals to be distributed at food pantries around the State including Paterson's CUMAC ECHO. When the day was complete, the goal was exceeded by more than 10,000 additional meals.
This project was in honor of and in tribute to the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., who once said, "An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity."
Service Above Self is the motto of Rotary, and one that we believe Martin Luther King, Jr. exemplified.
